Welcome to Pre-Kindergarten!
Please join me in welcoming new students to our class: Riley B., Daniel D., and Elly R!
And welcome back to our other friends: Dash C., Kaya C., Lucca D., Oceanus E., and Alexander V!
We look forward to checking in with you over the summer. We will continue to use ParentSquare throughout the summer, so please be sure to check in frequently for both group and whole school communications. It might be good to turn your notifications back on or off of digest so you don't miss anything. You also can access your child's class parent communication information in the FACTS school directory.
One of the easiest ways we will get to share with each other is through SeeSaw. We have set up a summer SeeSaw class for students to share work and ideas. We also have opened up the classroom blog there and will provide optional activities to do and share with each other.

Over the summer, on our classroom website you will be able to access:
Summer reading suggestions and requirements (see below)
M.A.C.K.S. (fun optional enrichment activities) designed as family challenges to share with our Mack community and classroom specific challenges
Online educational websites and games vetted by your Mackintosh teachers
Opportunities for Zoom "Summer Camp" activities - Mackinficents- throughout the summer
School supply lists (preliminary school supply list at end of June, refined based on health department recommendations in early August)
Detailed school calendar will be available in July
For extra fun this summer we are offering some Macknificent events! These will be special activities offered by your favorite Mack teachers - through Zoom - similar to those shared in the Macknificent Fun day during the last week of school. Please watch for sign-ups on Parent Square starting June 12th. Macknificent activities will be offered on select Thursdays throughout the summer. You may sign-up up to 24 hours before each event. We hope to have many fun options for all ages.
For the month of June, Epic books is free to use at home! New families will receive an email inviting them to our Epic classroom. I have assigned the class a collection of books that highlight resilience. Read a few books from the collection together and discuss the themes. Do you have any books about resilience at home? Let us know which you book you liked best and why on SeeSaw! (Optional)
